Steve Allen and
The Stephenville Lights
After an historic sighting near Stephenville, Texas of an up close and personal UFO encounter on January 8, 2008, private pilot Steve Allen's life was forever changed. While enjoying the beautiful evening sunset with friends, a shockingly large glimmer of lights out of the east caught Allen's eye in what he describes as "unreal, like nothing I'd ever seen before". He says the lights were traveling in unison, same course and same heading and estimated to be about a half-mile wide and a mile long, traveling about
2500 AGL (above ground level).
*The most compelling part of this story is a radar report.*
For you skeptics this should substantiate the story!
The sighting had a profound impact on Allen's life. He now is on a quest to find out what those strange lights are all about, where they came from and why they appeared over Stephenville, Texas area and why are such events consistently covered up. Even more mysteriously, similar lights began appearing frequently around the Stephenville for the next few months and on October 23, 2008, the strange lights reappeared over a football game Hico High School, alarming the crowd and bringing the football game to a halt.
On a quest for answers and the truth surrounding these mysterious events and as an eyewitness to this historic sighting, Allen has made appearances on numerous radio and television programs including CNN’s Larry King Live, Fox News O’Riley Factor,
ABC's Prime Time, Good Morning America, National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel, BBC, NPR and world wide syndicated radio show Coast to Coast AM, among many others. Most recently at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, Allen testified at the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure before a panel of six former members of Congress during five days of testimony on the need for disclosure of the truth on UFOs and extraterrestrials.
Allen has been in the transportation industry since the late 1970’s and owner of a transportation company. His father and Uncle planted the flying seed early with Steve by putting him in the co-pilot seat and teaching him to fly at the ripe old age of 3, starting formal pilot training age 19. With a lifelong passion for aviation, Allen has owned and flown many different aircraft over the years. Favorite past times include water-skiing, snow skiing, motorcycling, custom 18-wheelers. He is active in the Stephenville, Hico and Glen Rose communities including serving on the Board of Directors for the prestigious "Somervell History Foundation".
